FIELD: mechanical engineering; repair methods and equipment. SUBSTANCE: proposed invention can be used in reconditioning of large-size sprockets and large teeth of different application devices by surfacing. It can be used for repairing worn out sprockets of conveyors. Embedded members of length equal to width of tooth are manufactured in number equal to number of worn out teeth. They are connected to teeth by welding first to tooth blanks in center of base and then to base of sprocket in center of its rim with formation of clearance. Clearance is filled up by means of deep groove welding at two sides with remelting of embedded members. Then mechanical cleaning and strengthening of tooth outlines with wear-resistant alloy is carried out by inductive surfacing during 1.5-2 min.
