FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: billet is supported by two contact elements and rotation drive element that drives said billet. The latter is peeled by peeling blade. One section of contact element not bent inward is fitted into concaved section of another contact element to reach maximum diameter of billet core. In compliance with first version, peeler comprises paired spindles, drive, peeling support and two contact elements, first range metre, second range metre and control device. Peeling blade is fitted in peeling support. Said support is furnished with first drive. Second and third drives are coupled with two contact elements. In compliance with second version, peeler comprises peeling support, thrust hole, first drive, peeling blade, rotation drive, two contact elements, second drive, diameter metre and control device.
EFFECT: higher yield of peeled veneer.
