FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for embossing or calendaring paper webs to be jointed together by pressure. Proposed device comprises two overlap shafts to press paper web or layer fed there through. Every shaft comprises fixed central shaft with its ends supported by appropriate holder and tubular jacket fitted on central shaft by arranging low-friction connection elements on opposite sides relative to fixed central shaft central axis so that said jacket for contact with processed webs or layers may easily turn about lengthwise axis of said jacket. One of aforesaid shafts is drive by motor coupled therewith via belt. Note here that said motor is mounted on support frame that may slide on horizontal guide.
