FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of electric locomotive electric equipment diagnostics and can be used in electric motive power, in particular, on electric locomotives with pulse-type regulators of tractive motors. Device for electric locomotive traction current control contains traction current sensor positioned in electric circuit in series and by its inputs connected with switch which is connected with trolley wire by means of collecting pantograph, and with tractive electrical equipment. Traction current sensor output is connected with recording and indicating unit. With several mutually independent electric circuits, the device contains traction current sensors each one of which is in series connected into electric circuit and by its inputs is connected with switch which is connected with trolley wire by means of collecting pantograph, and with tractive electrical equipment. Outputs of traction current sensors are connected with input of logical gate "AND" the output of which is connected with at least two circuits each one of which contains traction current hazardous frequency alternating-current component discriminator. Phase-sensitive relay simulator and time intervals analyser are connected with input of recording and indicating unit.

EFFECT: higher operating speed and accuracy of hazardous frequencies detection.
