SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of railway automation and teleautomatics, in particular to means of diagnostics of rail chains and means of measuring the resistance of a train shunt. The system for monitoring the false freeness of the rail chain and the resistance of the train shunt of biaxial moving units contains two rails, equipment for the supply and relay ends of the rail chain. On the rails, there is a biaxial mobile unit. The mobile unit is equipped with the first, second, third and fourth current sensors, a coordinate determination unit, an information processing unit, an indication unit, a wireless information transmission channel consisting of a transmitter, a communication line and a receiver, a measurement unit, a rail chain analyzer, a memory unit and an automated workplace.

EFFECT: determination of the cause of false freeness and fixing the resistance of the train shunt and a separate wheel pair, taking into account the wheel-rail transition resistances.
