SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of railway automation and telemechanics, namely to measuring the resistance of a train shunt with a centralized arrangement of the equipment of the rail circuit. Essence: at the initial setting, the voltage at the output of the track generator is measured when a train shunt with a standard resistance is applied. Under operating conditions, the value of the voltage at the output of the track generator is measured when the actual train shunt is applied, the value of the correction factor for the supply voltage of the rail circuit is calculated as the ratio of the voltage at the output of the track generator when the actual train shunt is applied to the voltage at the output of the track generator when the standard train shunt is applied. After that it’s necessary to calculate the updated value of the actual resistance of the train shunt as the product of the correction factor for the supply voltage of the rail circuit and the resistance value of the actual train shunt. The device additionally has a mode setting unit, a control unit, the second measurement unit, the first and second registers, the first and second voltage dividing units, a calculation unit, a comparison unit, an alarm unit and an indication unit.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of measuring the resistance of a train shunt when it passes along a rail line with a centralized arrangement of the equipment of the rail circuit.
