FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship building and concerns high-speed catamarans creation. High-speed catamaran is vessel with two hulls interconnected by cross-structure. In the middle part of vessel (excluding fore end), distance from water surface (from surface of design waterline) to cross-structure surface (vertical clearance) remains constant value. Vertical clearance under cross-structure in the middle part is 5% to 12% of vessel length between perpendiculars Li, and in the aft of catamaran - starting from 13÷15 transverse section - further substantial reduction of vertical clearance is provided (in comparison with middle and fore parts) up to value constituting 25÷35% of clearance in vessel fore end. In the part of catamaran adjacent to aft perpendicular (to transom), buttocks of cross-structure are made with reduced inclination or without it along length equal to 0÷10% of vessel length between perpendiculars.
EFFECT: invention makes possible to reduce intensity of pitching, loads acting on vessel structures in rise and fall of the waves conditions, total vessel vibration and material consumption of structures, to improve comfort and to lower water resistance to vessel movement over waves.
