FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding and concerns the designs of catamarans and double-hull ships with a small waterline area. The catamaran contains two hulls, a connecting bridge connecting the hulls, and two wings installed under the connecting bridge between the hulls and attached to the hulls. The connecting bridge is equipped with a wedge-shaped attachment made in the bow on its lower deck. Each wing is made with an elongation of no more than 0.5 and an overall dimension in the transverse direction equal to from 15% to 25% of the horizontal clearance of the catamaran, and is installed on the inner side of one of the hulls forward of the fifth theoretical frame above the design waterline by at least a quarter of the vertical clearance catamaran. The angles of attack of the wings when moving the catamaran in calm water are in the range from 5 to 15°. The smallest distance from the aft edges of the wings to the surfaces of the connecting bridge or wedge-shaped attachment does not exceed one and a half times the overall dimension of the wing in the transverse direction. The nose edges of the wings are located at an acute angle to the surfaces of the sides of the hulls, and the projections of the aft edges of the wings on the horizontal plane make an angle from 75 to 90° with the line of adhesion of the wings to the surfaces of the sides of the hulls.
EFFECT: invention provides a decrease in the amplitudes of pitching, vertical and side rolling, a decrease in shock loads on structures and an increase in driving performance in rough conditions, as well as an increase in comfort.
