FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding and concerns the designs of catamarans and double-hull ships with a small waterline area. The catamaran contains two hulls, a connecting bridge connecting the hulls, and a wing mounted under the connecting bridge between the hulls and attached to the hulls. The connecting bridge is equipped with a wedge-shaped attachment made in the bow on its lower deck. The wing is made with an aspect ratio of at least 3, installed forward of the sixth theoretical frame above the structural waterline by at least a quarter of the vertical clearance of the catamaran, ensuring the angle of attack when the vessel is moving in calm water from 5 to 15° and is spaced from the nearest points of the wedge-shaped attachment by no more than the average chord value.
EFFECT: invention provides a decrease in the amplitudes of pitching, vertical and side rolling, a decrease in shock loads on structures and an increase in driving performance in rough conditions, as well as an increase in the comfort of the catamaran.
