FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device to produce power from wind energy includes a blade device, which may rotate relative to its base to convert wind energy into mechanical energy of rotation and comprises a vertical axis joined with vertical plates and connected with the generator in the base to convert mechanical energy of rotation into power. Each blade has ribs arranged at the distance to catch wind, which stretch horizontally from the first side surface, forming a space to catch wind between any two adjacent ribs for wind catching. The unit of wind catching includes vertical plates mounted on the base and evenly arranged at the angle and placed around the blade device. Any two adjacent plates form a channel between each other that narrows in the inner direction for wind directing. Plates are not flat, so that wind sent by plates blows the first side surfaces of the blades via channels for wind direction.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and stability of power generation.
