SUBSTANCE: animated desktop, having a moving image, can be displayed on the display screen of a processing device. Foreground elements can appear on the surface of the animated desktop. Foreground content can be formed on an assembling surface which can be a surface with alpha-channel support, capable of displaying transparent elements. An animated desktop module can form content for part of the background of the animated desktop in the corresponding shared memory which is shared with the linker. The linker can periodically copy the formed content from the shared memory on the assembling surface, wherein the linker can assemble and mix the scene from background and foreground content. The assembled scene can then be displayed as an animated desktop.

EFFECT: high interactivity and visual quality while reducing complexity of processing an animated desktop.
