FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a pure trans-dichloromethylamine ethylamine platinum (II) salt which is biologically active. A cis-dichlorodimethylamine platinum (II) salt is dissolved in aqueous solution of methylamine hydrochloride at room temperature and methyl amine solution is added. The mixture is then heated to 40°C until the solution becomes colourless. The solution is cooled, concentrated hydrochloric acid is added and then heated on a plate in an inert atmosphere for 8 hours. The obtained yellow solution is cooled, the precipitate is filtered, washed with alcohol and then dried. Output of the trans-dichloromethylamine ethylamine platinum (II) salt is equal to 78% of theoretical output. No impurities of platinum (IV) complexes are observed.
EFFECT: high output and purity of trans-dichloromethylamine ethylamine platinum (II).
