SUBSTANCE: blocking device (8) for an instrument carrier (1), in particular, for a pull-put instrument unit (1) is designed for installation in a pull-out compartment of a cabinet of a cubicle switchboard (100). It comprises the main breaker (15) controlled by means of a handle (3) on a face panel (16) of the instrument carrier (1). In the area of the face panel (16) there is a hole of access (9) to a plug connector of an actuating tool for setting of two or more switching positions of the instrument carrier (1). A locking plate (61) is designed to convert rotary motion of the handle (3) and a contact axis (12) of the main breaker (15) connected with it in rectilinear motion. A manual handle (5) arranged on the face panel (16) as spring-loaded and moved in parallel to the face panel (16) in the off position locks an access hole (9). In accordance with the invention a locking plate (61) comprises a slider (6) of the main breaker, which is installed coaxially with the manual handle (5), so that the manual handle (5) with the main breaker (15) switched on may not move to the open position, and the main breaker (15) may not be switched on in the open position of the manual handle (5).
