FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: method is designed to terminate multiple-core power cables comprising cores of different calibres, by means of serial installation of a glove at the cable end to seal the cable and end couplings. At the same time the glove is selected by one finger more than the number of cable cores of larger calibre, these cores each are inserted into a separate finger, and all cores of smaller calibre are together inserted into a finger that remained free, afterwards thermal shrinkage of the glove is carried out. Thus formed single-core and multiple-core cables protruding from the glove are terminated as usual, with application of end couplings.
EFFECT: method provides for reliable electric insulation of all cores of a multiple-core cable with cores of different calibres when using a limited assortment of elements for termination of cables.
