SUBSTANCE: in the method of processing data in a wireless communication network entity, data in the network entity are encoded using an error correcting code to generate a code word including redundancy. A first code word is generated by encoding data using a cyclic redundancy code. A second code word is then generated in the network entity by encoding additional data in part of the first code word. The second code word is generated by performing an XOR operation over additional data in part of the first code word. Part of the first code word, in which the additional data are encoded, lies within the error correction limits of the first code word.
