FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, particularly, to rolling of slabs from steels with lower plastic properties. Proposed method comprises heating the slabs and their controlled reduction in rolls over width. Rolling is performed in rolls that feature diameter preset to slab width before reduction which, as well, is specified.
EFFECT: ruled out tensile stress.
