FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in inorganic chemistry. The method of producing potassium chloride involves clarification of a hot potassium chloride and sodium chloride saturated solution in vacuum crystallisation apparatus, recuperation of heat of the solution vapour of the first part of the vacuum crystallisation apparatus with a cooled solution obtained after extraction of the end product therefrom. Heat of the solution vapour of the second part of the vacuum crystallisation apparatus is removed through heat-exchangers by a heat carrier which is cooled using a closed cooling apparatus. Distribution of the heat carrier on the heat-exchangers is carried out depending on the temperature drop between housings of the vacuum distillation apparatus, and the heat carrier discharged from the heat-exchangers is returned to the cooling apparatus. Heat carrier discharged from the heat-exchangers is merged and further cooled by mixing, with restrictions on its temperature, with a portion of the initial cooled heat carrier to temperature defined by requirements of the cooling apparatus to the heat carrier returned to said apparatus. The cooling apparatus used can be cooling machines or climate control systems.

EFFECT: invention simplifies the process and prevents contamination of air with chlorides and water basins with salty water from an open recycling water system.
