SUBSTANCE: composite electrode comprises the following: a substrate; a whisker or a fibre and a coating layer. The whisker or fibre is made from tungsten oxide or molybdenum oxide and is formed on the substrate. The coating layer comprises an active substance and is formed on at least a part of the surface of the whisker or fibre. Coating layer surfaces have concavities and convexities. A power accumulation device comprises a composite electrode described above and an electrolyte. The method for production of a composite electrode includes stages of thermal treatment of initial material, then a coating layer is formed, containing an active substance, by the method of electrolytic deposition.
