SUBSTANCE: invention relates to practical implementation of the elastic internal units of mattresses. Spring module for mattresses includes a central part and a peripheral part covering it along its perimetre. The central part is made two-sectional. The sections are located along the longitudinal axis of symmetry of the module. Each section comprises a group of main chains of cylindrical springs and two equal groups of additional chains of cylindrical springs. The main chains of cylindrical springs in each section are arranged along each respective arcuate curve, side by side with each other and are connected to each other in areas of mutual contact of their folded side surfaces. The ends of the main chains of cylindrical springs are connected to the chain of cylindrical springs of the peripheral part of the module. In another version, instead of the main chains of cylindrical springs with a length of no more than 150-200 mm, spring insert is used which is placed in the cavity between the main chain of cylindrical springs which has the shortest length in the section and chain of cylindrical springs of the peripheral part of the module. The additional chains of cylindrical springs in each group are located in the sequence corresponding the decrease of their length, side by side with each other and are connected to each other in areas of mutual contact of their folded side surfaces. Main and additional chains of cylindrical springs having the greatest length are placed side by side to each other and are connected to each other in areas of mutual contact of their folded side surfaces.
