FIELD: industrial and household heat engineering devices. SUBSTANCE: burner has diffuser with slots or perforation made of thin sheet metal. Complete or partially prepared gas-air mixture is delivered into diffuser. Burner can be used in heat exchange devices such as boilers or heating systems. Main stages of proposed method are: delivery of uniform flow of fuel air mixture into slots; discharge of mixture from perforated surface of ring shape which has slot periphery zone (Ap) and solid central zone (Ca); areas of these zones are in definite relationship; burning of mixture in thin layer; control of excess air coefficient in the range of 0.9 - 1.4; maintaining excess air coefficient lower than 1.6; and recirculation of combustion products. EFFECT: reduced content of nitrogen oxides and carbon oxide in exhaust gases, reduced noise. 27 cl, 63 dwg
