FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely therapy and laboratory diagnostics, and may be used for non-invasive determination of the blood cholesterol concentration. That is preceded by measurement of patient's body weight index as a relation of body weight (kg) to square of patient's height (m2). Then systolic and diastolic blood pressure on left and right hands is measured in the morning, on an empty stomach, after 12-hour fasting. The blood cholesterol concentration M is stated in mmole/l by empirical regression formula: M=0.632+20.486*log10(B*B1) wherein B, B1 are correlation coefficients. The correlation coefficient B is described as the relation of an arithmetic mean value of systolic blood pressure measured on both patient's hands to an arithmetic mean value of diastolic blood pressure measured on both patient's hands. The correlation coefficient B1 is measured as a relation of the patient's body weight index (kg/m2) to the normal body weight index (25 kg/m2).

EFFECT: such implementation of the method provides higher accuracy of the non-invasive determination of the blood cholesterol concentration accompanying diagnosis of lipid storage disease.
