FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine and medical equipment. A patient being tested is presented with pairs of acoustic pulses of the length of 100 ms with a pause of 100 ms. At the first stage, the pause length of acoustic pulses is decreased discretely at a pitch of 1 ms until the patient specifies fusion of two pulses. At the second stage, the pause length of acoustic pulses is increased at a pitch of 0.5 ms until the patient specifies a moment of separation of two pulses. At the third stage, the pause length of acoustic pulses is decreased at a pitch of 0.25 ms until the patient specifies a moment of fusion of two pulses. The pause length t of two acoustic pulses in the pair determined at the third stage is measured. The assessment of the intensity of nervous system is the value wherein S is a mean square deviation of the measurements of the pause length t of two acoustic pulses in the pair at the third stage wherein t is a sample value of the measurement, is an arithmetic mean value, n is a number of the measurements.
EFFECT: method extends the range of products for assessing the intensity of nervous system.
