METHODS AND DEVICES FOR CORE TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61B5/01 G01K5/20

Abstract RU 2466676 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: device for core temperature measurement comprises at least one electron temperature probe containing two conductive bodies separated by an insulating material, and a readout controller consisting of a temperature corrector for input temperature reading from said probe and core temperature deriving. The probe is connected with a surface temperature of which is approximately equal to core temperature. The corrector increases input temperature readouts for calculation of a temperature difference of the input readout and core temperature, and comprises a capacity metre for measuring mutual capacity of the conductive bodies. The temperature difference is derived from mutual resistance and one or more temperature readouts of the probe. Also, the device may comprise blood oxygen detector with an optical source for controlled heat generation on the basis of which the temperature corrector derives an input temperature gain. Also the conductive bodies may be separated so that one of them is found in heat contact with said surface, while the controller evaluates a heat flow between the conductive bodies and corrects the temperature readout.

EFFECT: application of the group of inventions enables higher accuracy of non-invasive measurement of core temperature with relative non-sensibility to positional accuracy of the device.
