SUBSTANCE: lid has a central panel (10) directed to the contents of the container, the apron-shaped section (20) at the edge of the central panel (10) and seal (25; 25a; 25b) coming from one of the peripheral areas of the central panel and entering the apron-shaped section. The retaining ring (40, 30) of non-metallic material has two sections, extending on the periphery. The retaining ring (40) comprises a moulded strip-shaped section (41) projecting radially inward and upward, and a connecting section (30) to secure the retaining ring (40) on the axial lower end of the section of the apron-shaped section (20), the lower end (21, 21a) of the apron-shaped section twisted more than 180°, is at least partially clasped by the connecting section (30) on the inside of the apron-shaped section.

EFFECT: according to the invention the closing device is convenient, simple, and can easily be mounted on a metal lid and forms a junction between the control tape certifying the authenticity of the goods, and the screw-top metal cap.
