FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: device for self-trailing consists of cable with hook pivotally attached at one end, rod drum, mechanism for attachment of one cable end to any of drum rods. The drum is made able to be mounted as add-on device by nuts of any of driving wheels. Mechanism for attachment of free cable end consists of collar with rectangular hole, insert element and screw. The collar is able to be put on double cable thickness and fixed by screw with counter nut. Distance between rods of drum should allow attachment mechanism to pass between them. Insert element is U-shaped and has rounded ends of the same radius with roundings inside collar. Along collar symmetry axis, groove is made that is slightly larger than cable thickness and has rounding radius equal to cable radius. Groove depth is less than sum of two cable thicknesses by cable thickness. Threaded hole for screw is made in the middle of upper outer flange of collar. Upper flange of collar is horizontal and made with tapered recess in the middle. The screw has tapered end with the same amount of taper as recess in insert element. Fixing screw is installed inside rod drum. Guide screw for cable is rigidly attached to tractor side-member. At the end of screw, ring with cable exceeding diameter is made and equipped with roller with curved axis equal to ring diameter. On the lower inner flange of collar, radial recess for one-third of cable radius is made.

EFFECT: possibility to overcome severe road conditions by wheeled tractors and cargo trucks.
