FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to low-alloy cast steels used in production of critical machine parts, for example, car parts. Proposed steel comprises the following components in wt %: carbon 0.16 - 0.28, manganese 1.15 - 1.48, silicon 0.23 - 0.51, chromium 0.01 - 0.10, nickel 0.16 - 0.45, copper 0.23 - 0.57, aluminium 0.02 - 0.04, calcium 0.015 - 0.04, barium 0.015 - 0.04, titanium 0.008 - 0.02, uron making the rest. Steel hardenability "П" defining its structure is determined from the conditions 2C[1+Si2+Cu2+7Mn2+10Cr2+3Ni2+0.5Si(Mn+Ni)+3SiCr+MnNi+4NiCr+3CuCr] to make 5.52…6.66, mm, while total content of deoxidising and conditioning agents in terms of pure components makes in wt %: Ca+Ba+Al+Ti=0.08…0.11.
