FIELD: physics, signalling.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-electric fire detectors and can be used in explosion hazard zones. The fibre-optic linear fire alarm, consisting of a signalling unit and a detecting element, wherein the signalling unit is in form of a scattered radiation detector, including optically-connected: a pulsed laser light source, a detecting element, a filter unit which separates Stokes and anti-Stokes components, photodiodes which detect corresponding scattering elements, an analogue-to-digital converter, a unit for processing and indicating temperature on the length of the detecting element, wherein the detecting element is a fibre-optic cable.

EFFECT: possibility of constant monitoring of temperature on the entire length of the detecting element, which enables to predict dangerous situations and monitor all potentially hazardous facilities.
