FIELD: measurement technology, measurement of temperature distribution in extended objects, oil and gas production. SUBSTANCE: given fiber-optical device incorporates optical pulse radiation source that includes laser, sensitive element of pickup in the form of optical fiber and signal processing unit which incorporates timer, optical directional coupler and photoreceiving modules, synchronization photodetector. Optical fiber of sensitive element of pickup is multimode. Laser of optical pulse radiation source is single-mode with pumping from semiconductor laser. Optical directional coupler coupled single- mode and multimode optical fibers. Optical pulse radiation source is coupled to single-mode input of optical directional coupler, unit of spectral separation is coupled to multimode input of optical directional coupler, synchronization photodetector is coupled to single-mode output of optical directional coupler. Signal processing unit is supplemented with analog-to-digital converters and digital signal storage circuits. Photoreceiving modules are coupled to outputs of unit of spectral separation and to analog-to- digital converters which outputs are coupled to inputs of digital signal storage circuits. Timer is connected to analog-to-digital converters. Device can also bet fitted with thermal stabilization unit of reference length of multimode optical fiber.
