FIELD: physics, nuclear.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear power units and specifically passive safety systems. The apparatus has a sealed reactor room 1, a reactor housing 2, a sprinkler group 3, a steam header 4, an ejector steam pump 5, a reservoir for water coolant 8, which cools the chamber of the heat exchanger 9. An external heat carrier 10 is fed into the heat-removing chamber of the heat exchanger 9. The water coolant reservoir 8 is connected by a pressure pipe 11 to a valve 12 for regulating inlet of the water coolant into the supply pipe 13 of the sprinkler group and a valve 14 with a pipe 15 for regulating inlet of water coolant into a tray 16. There are at least three layers of spherical heat-conducting elements 17 on the outer surface of the reactor housing 2, and a safety valve is installed on the steam header 4. In case of emergency, the valve 12 for regulating inlet of water coolant into the supply pipe 13 of the sprinkler group and the valve 14 for regulating inlet of water coolant into the tray 16 through pipe 15 are closed.
EFFECT: high heat removal from the reactor housing through development of the heat-exchange surface and creating conditions which prevent non-contact rolling of water coolant.
