FIELD: textiles, paper.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to light industry, in particular to a method of processing of a transformable pocket in the manufacture of women's upper garment. The essence of the invention is in the fact that in a method of processing of the transformable pocket comprising marking the location of the slash pocket, stitching of the off-set welt ironed from the face side lengthwise in half to the upper cut of the pocket lining; stitching of the lower cut of the pocket lining to lower cut of the underlay piece and stitching of the upper cut of the underlay piece to the garment; fastening the ends of the opening to the pocket and side edges of the pocket lining, additionally the patch pocket is processed, the opening to which and to the slash pocket is closed with a double-layer valve to fold upper edge of which a part of the fastener-"zipper" is stitched which is connected to the second part located on the face side of the garment along the upper horizontal line of the intended location of the pocket. A patch pocket consists of a two-layer part with rounded lower corners and a drawstring casing on the upper edge formed by outer and inner parts of the pocket tucked inward and stitched on the perimetre, with a cord outstretched in it, a part of the fastener-"zipper" on the side and lower parts, the second part of which is located on the trim ironed lengthwise in half which is stitched to the face side of the garment along the intended line of the pocket location, not reaching 5 cm to the upper horizontal line. And the edges obtained after excision of part of the garment, contained between the trim and the upper horizontal line and straightening of part of the fastener-"zipper" under the trim and a part of the fastener-"zipper" of the garment, are stitched to the underlay piece of the patch pocket and the underlay piece of the slash pocket, and an off-set welt and the pocket lining stitched to each other are stitched to the underlay piece of the patch pocket. The invention can be manufactured under the conditions of production using the standard manufacturing equipment.
EFFECT: a) expanding of the functionality of the pocket due to its sectionality; and b) expanding of model range of clothing through the use of different textures and colors of overlaid parts; c) expanding of the functionality of the pocket due to its use as a glove or a purse; and d) the ability to use the wastes of garment manufacture.
