METHOD FOR PROCESSING OF SET-IN POCKET Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of knitted products. SUBSTANCE: method involves making main part of article (strip); marking line of pocket entrance hole; doubling said line at reverse side by means of glued layer; providing finishing parts; making pocket entrance hole on main part; connecting finishing parts to main part. Finishing parts are two pipings-links and burlap. Finishing parts are manufactured by knitting. Pocket entrance hole is provided by cutting out without making notches. Finishing parts are connected to main part in the following sequence: linking one piping and one cut of burlap to lower line of pocket entrance hole; linking second side of burlap and second piping to upper line of pocket entrance hole; securing together bent edges of pipings, main part and burlap; connecting side cuts of burlap. EFFECT: reduced thickness of ready pocket and reduced labor intensity by avoiding procedures of bending part cuts and turning pocket parts inside out. 4 cl, 6 dwg
