FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns medicine, particularly shoulder replacement. What is used is an instrument comprising an endoprosthesis stem impactor and a navigation system as such consisting of two rods rotating about an impactor stem axis and a circular scale perpendicular to the impactor stem axis. The system is used to perform intraoperative navigation in shoulder replacement with a single-pole endoprosthesis ESI by determining retroversion of the endoprosthesis neck and stem with further immersion of the endoprosthesis stem into a marrowy canal in a pre-set position.
EFFECT: method enables placing the endoprosthesis in the correct position.
