FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics and can be used to remove the femoral component during revision hip replacement. Dislocation of the femoral component of the endoprosthesis is performed, the head of the endoprosthesis is removed, the bed of the endoprosthesis is released with the determination of all its surfaces. By reciprocating the saw with a trapezoidal blade 150 mm long and 12.7 mm wide, the bone-implant border is separated in the proximal section with a distal direction, alternately processing the anterior, posterior, medial and lateral surfaces of the femoral component. When signs of destabilization of the femoral component appear, the femoral component of the endoprosthesis is fixed with an extractor using a collet clamp and knocked out in the proximal direction with an inertial hammer.
EFFECT: method provides a reduction in the traumatic nature of surgery, a reduction in the risk of periprosthetic fracture, a reduction in the duration of surgery due to the complete release of the implant from the bone on each side along the entire surface plane.
