FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Proposed method comprises adding solid oxidising agent into moulding tool, pouring iron-carbon melt therein, cooling hybrid mix down, moulding the ingot and extracting it from moulding tool. Consumption of solid oxidising agent is defined by relationship where gmo is consumption of said agent per one ton of iron-carbon melt, kg/t, Δ(Si, Mn, Cr, V, Ti, P) is the number of elements in said melt oxidised by said agent, wt %; 1.14; 0.29; 0.46; 0.78; 0.67; 1.29; 1.33 are element-to-oxygen stoichiometric ratio for oxidation of said elements, kg/kg; and CFeO are amounts of iron oxide and monoxide in solid oxidising agent, respectively, wt %; 0.3 and 0.22 are mass fraction of oxygen in iron oxide and monoxide in solid oxidising agent; λ is fraction of changing into gas phase and lost with off-gases; (1-λ,) is fraction of oxygen retained in composite material iron oxide after thermal dissociation; 1000 is weight of initial iron-carbon melt, kg.
