Two-level car (10) comprises passenger compartment (12) with top and bottom decks (14) and (16), two wheel supports (20, 22) above which located are first and second intermediate platforms (24, 26) of passenger compartment (12), two car entrances (32, 34) with baffles (36, 38) extending onto first and second entrance platforms (42, 44) and located between bottom deck (14) and appropriate intermediate platform (24, 26). Ascending passage (46) from first entrance platform (42) to first intermediate platform (24), passage from first entrance platform (42) to bottom deck (14), and straight ascending passage (48) from first platform (42) to top deck (16) are arranged nearby first entrance (32). Ascending passage (56) from second platform (44) to second intermediate platform (26), passage (54) from second platform (44) to bottom deck (14) and straight ascending passage (58) from second platform to top deck (16).
EFFECT: increased capacity, accelerated boarding and deplaning.
