SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the motor car industry and the vehicle operating system. The invention relates to a method of inhibiting emissions of benz(α)pyrene and high-boiling analogues thereof by feeding 3-5 mg of nickel into a gasoline engine, said nickel being part of an additive - oleo-soluble nickel compound [CnH2n+1COO]2Ni, (where n=10-16), used in concentration of 0.06-0.10 mg Ni/kg gasoline.
EFFECT: improved environmental characteristics of gasoline vehicles.
