FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, in particular, to metal plastic working, namely, to technology for production of stocks from steel of austenitic class, and may be used to manufacture high-pressure vessels for heat power engineering and chemical industry. A pre-heated stock is exposed to multiple isothermic forging with subsequent change of orientation axis by 90° and reduction of temperature by 80-150K. At the same time the first settling is carried out at the temperature, which is within the range from 1224 to 1323K. The true extent of deformation per single settling shall be at least 0.4 at the deformation speed from 10-2 to 10-1 s-1. Two last settling operations are carried out at the temperature in the range of 873-923K. Then the stock is burnt at the temperature, which is higher than temperature of two last settling operations by ≥50K.
EFFECT: increased strength of steel specified by production of a nanocrystalline structure.
