SUBSTANCE: method involves stages of furnace operation and ash deposition on heat transfer element, stages of determination of efficiency factor of at least one cleaning element and control of cleaning element based on efficiency factor. Besides, waste-heat boiler system is described, which includes furnace, waste-heat boiler located in the furnace, supporting structure, weighing system, cleaning system connected to furnace, and control system connected to weighing and cleaning systems.
EFFECT: invention allows determining initial force by measuring the force applied to the supporting structure with heat transfer elements and operating sootblowers according to the schedule at accumulation of ash to a certain level.
