FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method for measuring and long-term forecast of deformations of river beds without channel survey involves selecting an equivalent river on which mode hydrological observations are carried out; a list of water levels is arbitrarily assigned in the range from the minimum observed or calculated level to the corresponding maximum level through a fixed calculation step so that there not less than 5-6 values; maximum depth and width of the river are sampled from the measured values or values obtained by interpolation for each water level; further, for each water level, the amplitude of changes of the corresponding parameter is calculated; maximum amplitude values are taken as characteristics of vertical and horizontal channel deformations, respectively; further, estimation of the vertical erosion of the channel and channel deformations on the equivalent river is carried out using corresponding formulas.
EFFECT: method of measuring and forecasting vertical and normal deformations of river beds without channel survey at different times based on materials of mode hydrological observations of flow rate and level of water.
