FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: sound-absorbing tile, comprising an inner part and a processed surface, in which the processed surface comprises a latex binder free of formaldehyde, a cellulose ether free of formaldehyde selected from a group consisting of methylcellulose, methylhydroxycellulose, methylhydroxypropylcellulose, hydroxypropylcellulose, carboxypropylcellulose of sodium, hydroxyethylcellulose or their combinations, and a polymer derivative of soy protein and at least one biocide free of formaldehyde. Also the method of tile production is characterised.

EFFECT: production of a sound-absorbing tile with required operational properties, during release or emission of formaldehyde, less than in the amount subject to quantitative determination.
