FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: short-term compression of Belleville springs is carried out while picking up acoustic emission signals and the Belleville springs are held at constant force for a long period of time (up to 72 hours) while picking up acoustic emission signals. Curves of the obtained laws are plotted and based on their analysis, qualitative assessment of relaxation resistance of the Belleville springs is carried out in order to determine their suitability for prolonged use.
EFFECT: high reliability of data for predicting operating reliability and longevity of Belleville springs based on indicators of their relaxation resistance during prolonged loading of the test Belleville spring to maximum deformation while picking up acoustic emission signals.
