FIELD: defectoscopy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of technical diagnostics and non-destructive testing of structures using the acoustic emission method. At the beginning of loading, the control parameter of the acoustic-emission signal is determined by recording the value of different amplitude parameters by two converters, after that, dependence of these parameters values by a linear function is approximated, maximum correlation coefficient R is determined and this parameter is selected as control value, then during loading primary cluster with set of signals with correlation coefficient R>0.9 is selected, one signal is successively added to primary cluster, correlation coefficient R1 of new set is determined, if R1>0.9⋅R, the procedure is repeated for unallocated signals to clusters, and if the critical number of signals is exceeded, if the control parameter exceeds its critical value, the product is rejected.
EFFECT: enlarging technological capabilities of acoustic-emission control of structural elements, possibility of monitoring structure of complex shape, possibility of clustering sources, as well as possibility of selecting parameters of acoustic emission signals most dependent on source properties.
