SUBSTANCE: method to increase efficiency of polymer converters by introduction of crown-substituted porphyrins of metals into an active layer makes it possible to reduce cost of power made of solar energy. The method to make an organic photovoltaic converter of solar energy into current according to the invention includes operation of introducing an organic photovoltaic converter of crown-substituted metal porphyrinates into a photoactive polymer layer, at the same time crown-substituted metal porphyrinates are introduced in concentration from 0.1 to 50 wt %.

EFFECT: considerable increase of efficiency of organic polymer converters of solar energy into power, using polymer active layers makes it possible to produce converters on a flexible base, large area and by simple technological methods.
