FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: direction of the axis of sight is adjusted by monitoring on the television image of a "cross-hatch" electronic worksheet the position of spots from two laser probes, obtained during passage of spatially point laser radiations through parallel channels made in the base of the television system. Observing parallel alignment of the laser probes relative each other is limited only by the accuracy of making the channels themselves. Use of a mode of generating a composite video signal in the invention enables to detect a third spot on the image and "tying" its position to the electronic grid further increases accuracy of the entire adjustment process.
EFFECT: high accuracy of adjusting the direction of the axis of sight of a television system owing to use of adjustment of unified reflective tables in the process, while maintaining differences in operating values of angular fields of view of each television camera.
