FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: diamond whiskers are obtained by heterogenic liquid-phase crystallisation of diamond with interaction of carbon-containing substance with catalyst with further obtaining of diamonds in crystalline state. As catalyst used is ultradispersed palladium powder with particle size 20-50 nm, obtained by passing gaseous carbon monoxide through 2-20% water or water-organic solutions of palladium chloride PdCl2 with 5-hour mixing. Formation of diamond whiskers occurs at atmospheric pressure and temperature from - 70°C to +100°C. After that, performed is separation of diamonds from accompanying components and catalyst, which in its turn is regenerated by processing catalyst with aqua regia HNO3+3 HCl) in ratio palladium powder: aqua regia equal 1:3. Obtained solution is filtered, after which solid deposit is thermally processed at temperature 600°C.
EFFECT: simplification of process of obtaining diamond whiskers.
