FIELD: hydrometallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the hydrometallurgy of platinum metals and can be applied in the technology of isolating pure noble metals from industrial products by isolating two rich selective concentrates containing the sum of platinum, palladium, rhodium, ruthenium, iridium, gold and silver from these poor collective concentrates. Selective isolation of enriched platinum metal concentrates from multicomponent solutions containing platinum chlorocomplexes Pt(IV), palladium Pd(II), rhodium Rh(III), ruthenium Ru(IV), iridium Ir(IV), gold Au(III), silver Ag(I) and heavy non-ferrous metal ions Cu+2, nickel Ni+2 and iron Fe+3, as well as selenium (Se) and tellurium (Te), includes the treatment of said solution with carbon monoxide CO at atmospheric pressure, intensive stirring and heating up to 60°C for 6 hours. The precipitate is isolated in the form of a platinum metal concentrate containing palladium, platinum, gold, silver, selenium, tellurium, and a filtrate containing rhodium, ruthenium and iridium. When processing the solution, a gas mixture containing, vol. %: 25 carbon monoxide CO and 75 nitrogen N2 to obtain the said filtrate containing rhodium, ruthenium and iridium in the form of their carbonyl chloride complexes with lower oxidation states of these metals Rh(I) - Rh(CO)2Cl2-, Ru(II) - Ru(CO)2Cl4-2, Ir(I) - Ir(CO)2Cl2-. The filtrate is treated with rongalite in a molar ratio of rongalite and the sum of the content of rhodium, ruthenium and iridium in the filtrate equal to 1:1.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase the degree of selectivity of the isolation of enriched platinum metal concentrates from multicomponent solutions.
