FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: composite contains mineral wool fibre, a binding component and aerogel material. The aerogel material contains a fibrous component and an aerogel component, wherein the amount of the aerogel component ranges from 10% to 40%. Mineral melt is fed into a fibre-forming apparatus having at least two or more fibre-forming rotors revolving around the horizontal axis. Fibre is blown from the surface of the envelope of the rotors of the fibre-forming apparatus to a collecting means lying at a distance from the fibre-forming apparatus. The aerogel material is added to the mass of freshly prepared fibre formed on the surface of the envelope by a means of adding aerogel material lying on the lateral side of a binding means. The binding component is added by a means of adding binder lying in the immediate vicinity of the blowing means.
EFFECT: improved insulating properties of the composite and preventing flaking thereof.
