FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal surfacing using concentrated energy flows. Proposed method comprises electroblasting carbonisation of titanium-based alloy by electric blasting of graphitised carbon to produce pulsed plasma jet. Said plasma jet fuses alloy surface at power density of 4.5 - 5.0 GW/m2 for graphitised fiber particles to be added to produced melt. Then, said melt is self-hardened by heat diverted into titanium alloy bulk. Now, carbonised surface is subjected to intermittent pulse effects by high-current electron beam at absorbed power density of 30-40 J/cm2, pulse duration of 150-200 mcm, and number of pulses of 10-30.
EFFECT: higher rust and wear resistance, micro hardness, adhesion at cohesion level.
