FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building. Booster comprises casing, screw fitted on shaft, liner with multistart impeller, and straightener blade to make flow channel together with said casing. Said flow channel on axial length of said screw comprises three consecutive sections, i.e. inlet anti-cavitation section, transition section, and outlet pressure section. Said screw has at least two vanes with the length of lengthwise helical twist crossing anti-cavitation section and extends over the length of transition and outlet sections. The latter are provided with at least two sets of vanes arranged stepwise and increasing in number in geometric series. The number of vanes at outlet is four times larger than that at inlet. Liner features unduloid shape with generator representing concave-convex flat curve with gradient of radius increment at transition section two times greater than that at anti-cavitation section.
EFFECT: ruled out cavitation in booster and pump.
