FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ultrasonic location metres of level of liquids and loose products in reservoirs at fuelling stations and petroleum storage depots, and also in chemical, oil, food and other industries of economy. The invention concept is as follows: the device comprises a generator of ultrasonic pulses connected to a radiator, serially joined a receiver and an amplifier, a threshold device, joined an analogue-to-digital converter, a main memory and a unit of control and indication, the output of which is connected to the generator. Besides, the device comprises a counter, the input of which is connected to the output of the control and indication unit and the generator's input. The output of the preliminary amplifier is connected to the input of a peak detector, the other input of which is connected to the output of the control and indication unit, the input of the counter and the input of the system of access control to memory. The output of the peak detector is connected to the input of the analogue-to-digital converter and the input of the threshold device. The other input of the analogue-to-digital converter is connected to the output of the system of access control to memory, the input of which is connected to the output of the control and indication unit. The input of the main memory is connected to the system of access control to memory, the output of which is connected to the control and indication unit. The output of the threshold device is connected to the system of access control to memory and the counter, the output of which is connected to the input of the control and indication unit. The output of the clock pulse generator is connected to the input of the system of access control to memory, the input of the counter and the input of the analogue-to-digital converter.
EFFECT: invention provides for reduction of minimum frequency of a used analog-to-digital converter with preservation of high quality of measurements.
